Preventing Hydrogen Embrittlement in High-Cycle Pressure Vessels
Mitigating risks in hydrogen advancements.
To mitigate the risk of hydrogen embrittlement in high-cycle compressors and high-pressure storage, Haskel engineers developed a new technology that creates pre-compressive stress along the pressure vessel wall, eliminating the risk of leaks or ruptures due to hydrogen embrittlement.

A technical paper discussing the development of this technology was presented at ASME's 2018 International Mechanical Engineering Congress & Exposition (IMECE). To share these advancements with those who didn't attend the show, our team developed a downloadable white paper on the topic.

The white paper covers:
  • The definition & effects hydrogen embrittlement
  • Development of our solution
  • Key results from the development
